"XOO 354F"

The famous `XOO' series of registered cars stand out as the first Escort Twin Cam rally cars built by Boreham – “354F” spent much of its early life as a test/practice machine before being pressed into service as an 1800cc, 180bhp Group 6 car for Hannu Mikkola on the French Alpine rally in 1969. `XOO 354F' proved fast on the early stages but did not finish, being forced to retire with rear axle failure. Roger Clark is known to have used the “354F” as a recce car before it was sold off to Works-supported driver Chris Slater in late 1970 , used to help win the British rally championship in 1971, the car was then passed onto Jeff Churchill in South Wales after Slater crashed out of the 1971 Manx Rally , its current owner bought the car from South Wales in 1972 , therefore its continuous history is known from new. Reshelled in the '90s with a superb rust free rally prepared unarched correct period 1968 shell painted in Ermine White, Seam welded shell , turreted , full Roll cage , mild Tuned Lotus Twin cam engine , World Cup cross member, strut brace, high ratio steering rack, dual-circuit pedal box, limited-slip differential, Bilstein dampers, magnesium Minilite wheels, Contour buckets seats , Springalex deep dish s/wheel etc.

Could easily be put back to period Group 6 spec if required. Great opportunity to own a MK1 Escort twin cam with provenance
