MK2 Escort Genuine RS2000 LHD
Genuine Escort RS2000 with original vin plates and chassis stamp, came from Holland and converted to fast road / competition car. Only used for track days so far, but could easily bought upto spec for stage rallying or many other uses.
SHELL. Very straight & rust free Alloy arched, Full SD roll cage, 4 linked, Gp.4 Round turrets, Panard rod, Alloy front spoiler and RS rubber rear spoiler, RS rear bumper and front 1/4 bumpers. A good straight car, with a solid chassis and floors etc (Have enclosed photos of floor & chassis)
ENGINE. 2.0 Pinto, Injection head with extra porting, RL30 camshaft, adj vernier wheel, Uprated valve springs (Burton) Cosworth steel rods, running on Twin 45 Webers, Nodiz mappable ignition inc all software/instructions and USB to do. RS Alloy big wing sump. 3 piece gp.2 exhaust manifold.
TRANSMISSION. 5 speed type 9 gearbox, RS Alloy bell housing, 5 linked Atlas axle fitted with 4.6 Tran-x LSD, single propshaft.
SUSPENSION AND BRAKES. Bilstein GP.1 struts with RTM, anti roll bar, 5 linked rear axle with GP.4turretted Bilsteins and multileaf slipper springs. GP.1 RS2000 brakes alround.
OTHER. Alloy Radiator inc elec fan, strut brace , alloy catch tank, rally exhaust, boot mounted battery, bucket seats & full harness belts (out of date for rallying) lami screen , original RS2000 clocks, alloy door cards, Minilite replica wheels, etc. An honest straight car, Easy to convert to RHD if you should wish, but almost seems a shame as these cars are just as desirable in LHD. Just been MOT’d, now on UK V5C genuine RS2000. Superb project for someone. Nice investment for the future-Genuine RS2000 at an affordable price.
