Gartrac G3/G4 MK3 Escort 2.0
Gartrac G3/G4 MK3 Escort 2.0
Original Gartrac G3 Escort. Having traced and spoken to the first owner of this car, along with a mid 1980’s 4 page article on this car from the CCC magazine, explaining its history, who built it, what spec and photographic details of this car. This car was built for Mr Richard Ive from Kent, as a Gartrac G4, very few were built to accept 4wd but they proved to be very effective, in particular Martin Schanche and John Welsh. This car was used in National rallying in 4wd guise in period, before falling into clubman hands and converted back to G3 2wd, the engine and gearbox was changed but otherwise the car is very original, still has all its period Gartrac parts fitted. Needs some TLC or restoration (depending on how you like your cars) after it being unused for many years but it is functional, starts and drives on the button. The car would lend itself to Retro rallycross perfectly (if you swop the gearbox as sequential not allowed !)
