Ex Works/R.E.D
Ford Sierra Sapphire Cosworth 4×4 GP.A 1990 International Rally winner
F.I.A Historic Rally car
No expense spared fully rebuilt/restored car by the original builders (R.E.D motorsport). The attention to detail is incredible – during the rebuild the original wiring loom man , painters , decal company etc. etc. were employed , original drawings were used to remake some fabricated items , the original Kevlar moulding company for the floor guards / battery box etc. just to get all the details correct.
Documented step by step photos of the rebuild is included. Also a letter from R.E.D to verify its authenticity. Mechanically this car is exactly the same from day 1, when Russell Brookes used it to win the Manx International rally (it was the first 4 wheel drive Cosworth to win an International Rally) then successfully used by the late Bertie Fisher, and then Stephen Finlay in Ireland.
The car has been re built with the intention of being used (not just a show car!), everything has been rebuilt/serviced or replaced. This car is now eligible for F.I.A Historic rallying in the new J2 class for homologated spec cars from 01/01/1986 to 31/12/1990.
