History Originally built at Ford Motorsport Boreham as one of the six light weight tarmac cars.
The car was originally used as an RS500 race car by Graham Hathaway for the 1988 British Touring Car Championship, in 1989 it went to Indonesia with Graham where he ran the Ford Motorsport racing program for Ford.
The car then sat around unused for many years before finding its way back to the UK , where it was bought by an enthusiast who lovingly rebuilt it as a tarmac rally car but unfortunately never used it. The car sits here in tarmac rally trim , but could easily be converted back to BTCC spec /colours at any time. (we would be happy to quote to do this job) The car still retains its original chassis plate showing no. 00001 from Ford Motorsport making this a very rare and desirable car to own – a genuine works RS500 race car

Fitted with lightweight / thin glass etc. Everything mechanically is either new , rebuilt , or very low miles. Usual GP.A spec. (with switchable wet and dry map ) Engine, Getrag box, Mag uprights, AP brakes all round, adj pedal box, drop link Bladed anti roll bars, Bilstein dampers etc etc
